Jyoti Ratre (born 16 Feb 1969) is a Bhopal-based entrepreneur turned mountaineer who lives in Madhya Pradesh. Early life and professional career In 2021, she hiked Mount Elbrus (5,642 meters), the highest mountain in Europe, and Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895 meters), the highest mountain in Africa. She has also ascended Mount Kosciuszko in Australia, Island Peak, also known as Imja Tse in Nepal's Sagarmatha National Park, and Mount Aconcagua in Argentina. In 2024, along with 15 other members of the 8K Expeditions team, headed by Bolivian climber David Hugo Ayaviri Quispe, Jyoti Ratre achieved the feat of climbing Mount Everest at the age of 53 and became the oldest Indian lady to have achieved this accomplishment.
