JP Fund Services (JPFS) is a Swiss based company which promotes and supports JP Fund Foundations (Cayman) Ltd. and JP Fund Administration Ltd. (Cayman) in offering facilitation services to global fund and asset managers. History The company was started by four former colleagues who, all coming from a trading and banking background saw an opportunity to offer fund structures at lower costs allowing smaller Asset Managers the opportunity to become fund managers. The first name initial of Peter Kristensen, Jes Thygesen, Julian Stockley-Smith and Phil Griffiths, were used as the name of the company two J’s and two P’s. Jes Thygesen died soon after the company was launched in September 2007. The business plan was always to not only create hedge funds but also to have a fund administration company and in November 2008 JP Fund Administration (Cayman) Ltd received an Unrestricted Mutual Fund Administration License.
