Joshua Mutize

Joshua Mutize (Born October 14, 1969) is an Editor, an author, and a chartered Surveyor .He has enjoyed success in retail property development and professional writing. He is first black Editor in 50 years of the Construction Economist magazine, a magazine that is widely read in over 90 countries. Joshua is a Chartered Surveyor with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, England, UK as well as the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS).
His career profile rose when he worked for two of the largest retailers in the world, Macy’s and Target, where he was a resource to the property development team and other executives cross corporations. Besides, his extensive experience in Retail property development. Joshua contributed to the early planning phases of New Hanover Medical hospital expansion in Wilmington, NC as well as the preconstruction phase of the newly finished Lowes Office complex in Charlotte, NC.
Personal Life
Joshua was born in Salisbury, Rhodesia - (now Zimbabwe). He is descendant of, through his father, Christopher J. Mutize, from Prince William, Virginia . After all his boys died in the American Civil War (1861 - 1865), Christopher moved with his wife to New Zealand. Joshua grow up under the lovely care of the Hon. Ædgyth Bertha Milburg Mary Antonia Frances Lyon-Dalberg-Acton, was the daughter of the 2nd Lord Acton. She was invested as an Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1986.
Through Hon. Callinicos, Joshua was fortunate to meet a lot of heads of states. In 1988, she introduced him to John Paul II during his 10 day visit to visiting Zimbabwe, Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique and Swaziland. On October 14, 1991 Joshua was one of the youngest invited guests to a dinner with Her Majesty The Queen -Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, Prince Phillip . It just happened that it was also his birthday and he was just 21 years old.

Charity
Joshua has donated money to Clare House and Micro Grants. Clare House serves homeless women and children by providing a temporary home in a caring environment, life skills and programs. Micro Grant connects the affluent with the low-income by proving a monetary grant to low income individuals of potential in helping them become self sufficient.
