Joseph Iaruel (born 25 January 1998) is a Vanuatuan footballer who plays as a defender for Vanuatuan club Shepherds United and the Vanuatu national team. Club career Iaruel started his career with the Teouma Academy, the national academy of Vanuatu. After a good performance at the 2015 OFC U-17 Championship he was offered a scholarship by . He stayed with them for over a year before returning to Vanuatu. International career He has capped at the under-17 and under-20 levels, including the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup. Personal life Joseph has an older brother called Seiloni Iaruel who plays as a goalkeeper for Amicale. |
