Johnny Castro (full name, Johnny Alejandro Castro Ruiz) born in September 25 1990 at San Jose Costa Rica is a male model and actor. He began his modeling career at the age of 12 appearing in local television commercials and advertising campaigns at Central America. Discovered by Bali Rodriguez director of Unique Model Management, he finished high school and was sent to Miami Florida where he posed for the cover of Raukus Magazine. In 2014 he got cast for the first Costa Rican telenovela La Maria, where he played as Roger an antagonist character. After filming, he went to New York for acting classes at Susan Batson Studio. During his stay in Manhattan, he posed for HUF Magazine wearing a Kenneth Cole suit and Versace underwear. He got interviewed by Desnudo Magazine and DNA Magazine for his acting role in La Maria and as the first Costa Rican male model to be featured in the international fashion scene. He currently represents other models at his own modeling agency Cover Model Management Costa Rica. and is considered by Código Tony as a fashion icon in the Costa Rican population.
