John Bonacheck is a fictional character on the American soap opera The Young and the Restless played by Cliff De Young in 2007. Character History John came to Genoa City claiming to be a federal agent for the Department of the Treasury, looking for Plum who had apparently stolen money from his war buddy, Carson McDonald (Marsh Mokhtari). He accused Amber Moore (Adrienne Frantz), Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart), and Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) of having knowledge of the whereabouts of the cash. He went on to kidnap Amber, Carson, and Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) to use them for a ransom of the stolen money. He threatened Amber and Carson to kill Cane if he didn't get the money. John called Daniel to give him the ultimatium and Daniel said he had the money. John went to meet Daniel, who stalled so that the police could come to arrest John for kidnapping. John held Daniel at gun point and was about to shoot him when Paul Williams (Doug Davidson), Maggie Sullivan (Tammy Lauren) and a police officer bursted into the apartment arresting John for kidnapping.
