Johann Biacsics (30 March 1957 - 11 November 2021) was an Austrian anti-vaccination campaigner who was regarded as a leader within the Austrian anti-vaccination movement. He died of COVID-19 at the age of 65, after refusing medical treatment. He was one of a group of people attempting to set up the German dieBasis political party in Austria. He was a retired gardener. Biacsics became ill in October 2021 with diarrhea, fever and cough, and in early November 2021 he had such severe breathing problems that his family had him admitted to hospital. He tested positive for COVID-19, but refused to have treatment. He discharged himself from hospital and returned home, where he used chlorine dioxide enemas in an unsuccessful attempt to treat his disease. His condition continued to deteriorate, and a few days later his family called an ambulance but he was dead when they arrived.
