Joe Tuschak

Joe Kelly Tuschak (born October 17, 1992), is a Minor League Baseball outfielder for the GCL Mets. Tuschak's power and speed are top quality for his age.
High School Career
Tuschak graduated from Northern High School in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania. Was a one time Patriot-News baseball All-Star. The Colonial Division MVP in the 2010-2011 school year. In his senior year he had a batting average of .474, had 9 home runs, and 12 stolen bases. While leading the Polar Bears to a 21-5 record (10-2 Divisional) to Class AAA title. In his final game of his high school career at the state championship, he hit a game winning grand slam to win Northern's first State Title. He was drafted by the New York Mets, 192nd overall in the sixth round of the 2010 Major League Baseball Draft.
Minor League Career
2011 Season
He debuted for the GCL Mets on July 15, 2011 against the GCL Nationals. He had five at bats and had one hit with 2 strikeouts. Altogether in his first MiLB season he had a batting average of .204, 2 doubles, 12 RBIs, 2 stolen bases, and 22 hits in 32 games.
2012 Season
After the GCL Mets disbanded Tuschak joined the Kingsport Mets. Altogether in 2012 he batted .192 with 15 runs, 25 hits, 6 doubles, a third and 1 homerun in a total of 46 games.
