Jimmy Binnie

An American College and professionalbasketball player for the Dayton Flyers and Dakota Wizzards (http://www.usbasket.com/player.asp?CntryUSA&PlayerID72567). Binnie was born March 11, 1986 in Des Moines Iowa. Binnie was a star high school player who recieved several scholarship offers but chose Dayton.
High School Career
Binnie came directly to UD after teaming with former Flyer teammate Trent Meacham to lead the Iowa-based Martin Brothers Select team to the 2004 Senior Boys (19-under) AAU national championship in June, 2004. Binnie was named the Most Valuable Player of that tournament, capping an excellent prep career. Binnie was First Team All-Iowa and the Iowa Class 4A Player of the Year after averaging 23.9 points and 8.1 rebounds a game for Johnston High School, leading his team to an 18-6 record. Binnie was the ninth-leading scorer in the state in 2003-04.
He finished his career as Johnston's all-time leading scorer and was three-time first team all-conference. Binnie scored a school-record 45 points (regulation game) as a senior against rival Des Moines East.
As a junior, Binnie averaged 19.4 points, 8.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game for Johnston, and was Third Team All-Iowa. (DaytonFlyers.com)
