Jennifer Lu Rawlings is an American comedian, writer, and documentary film maker. Career Storyteller and Comedian Rawlings has been performing across the globe for over 11 years. From her beginnings at the Improv to her multiple appearances on , Rawlings is known for her commentary on family life, politics, and women's social issues. Jennifer has been featured on numerous television programs such as Comedy Central, CMT , PBS, VH1, A&E , Fox, CNN and Current TV. Notably, Rawlings has guest starred on TV comedy shows such as Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn and CMT's 20 Sexiest Men . Additionally, Jennifer has shared the stage with the late George Carlin, Garth Brooks and the Vice President of the United States. Rawlings has traveled to over 60 countries performing comedy in war zones for the American troops . She has performed over 300 military shows. Her solo show, "I ONLY SMOKE IN WAR ZONES" has garnered praise and awards, including an invitation to perform at the "Humor for Peace Festival." Filmmaker Rawlings's film debut, "Forgotten Voices: Women in Bosnia," has appeared at numerous film festivals and is included in the human rights curriculum at dozens of universities. She is currently directing a new documentary that will be out in the Spring of 2018. In 2014, Jennifer was named one of the 21 Changemakers of the 21st Century by Women's E News. Rawlings has been invited to speak at two TedX conferences. In 2013 she gave a TedX talk in Luxembourg, called The Courage to Forgive and in 2016 she gave a talk at TedX Stormont called "Laughter is Beautiful." Personal Life Rawlings splits her time between New York City and Los Angeles. She is the mother of five children.
