Jeff Deren

Jeff Deren (born July 22, 1981 in Springfield, Massachusetts) is an American soccer player who currently plays for Western Mass Pioneers in the USL Second Division.
Career
College
Deren grew up in Chicopee, Massachusetts, attended Chicopee Comprehensive High School, and played college soccer at University of Massachusetts Amherst. He was named to the All-Atlantic 10 second-team as a sophomore in 2000 and All-Atlantic 10 first-team in 2001 and 2002. He was named the Atlantic 10 Player of the Year in 2001 and in 2002. He left the University as the schools all time leader in Goals for a career, Goals in a single season, Points in career and Points in a single season. He was named as an All-American in 2001 and 2002.
Professional
Deren turned professional in 2003 with the Western Mass Pioneers, where he has remained ever since, becoming the Pioneers' longest-serving player. He has made over 110 appearances and scored over 35 goals for the Pioneers, helping the team to the USL Second Division regular season championship in 2005.
Deren has also played professionally overseas in Belgium and most notably Denmark. He has also played professional indoor soccer, playing several seasons for the Massachusetts Twisters in the National Indoor Soccer League and its predecessor leagues.
