Jean-Yves Mvoto

Jean-Yves Mvoto (born September 6, 1988 in XXe arrondissement, Paris) is a French football defender of Cameroonian origin who plays for English Premiership side Sunderland.

Club career
Early career
He began his career at French Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain graduating from the youth side in 2006 alongside Clément Chantôme, David N'Gog and Yannick Boli.

Sunderland
On 15 January 2008 he signed a three-and-a-half year deal with English Premiership side Sunderland. A compensation package in the region of £300,000 is rumoured to have been paid to his former club to acquire his services. Sunderland manager Roy Keane stated Mvoto is "one for the future" but will play a minor part in the 2008-09 season.
