Jazz Mellor

Jazz Domino Holly Mellor (born 18 November 1983) is the founding member and President of the Shoreditch Sisters Women's Institute.
Early life
Mellor is the daughter of Gaby Salter and Joe Strummer, lead singer of The Clash. Her parents separated when she was ten. They had been together for 14 years but not formally married as her father had been unable to locate and divorce his estranged wife. Her younger sister is Lola Mellor.
Mellor received her secondary education at the independent Bedales School in Hampshire. The group evolved out of informal meetings between friends and is a fully accredited branch of the . It discusses issues related to women and promotes craft-based activities such as knitting and sewing.
Feminist beliefs
Mellor describes herself as a feminist and believes that it was right for earlier generations of women to reject those traditionally female pastimes associated with housework.
