Jay King is the son and drummer for Grammy Award-winning singer/actor/song writer Claude King and first-cousin of musician/actor Chris Aable , whose song about his Uncle Claude King reached number 135 on U.S. Pop Charts in late 2010 on ReverbNation . Both performed together on a number of recordings, including the 2003 LP "Cowboy in the White House". Most of the songs were written or co-written by Claude King, and co-produced with music producer and guitarists Tillman Franks who founded and toured with the Navy band, The Rainbow Boys . The recording was released on Elvis Presley's former Sun Records label, with both Franks and James Burton on guitars. Jay King toured with his famous father, performing percussion and primarily drums along with providing backup vocals mostly in the 1980s and 1990s .
