Jay T. Deakins (born May 1964) is an American entrepreneur in the manufacturing and software industry. In 1995, Deakins founded Deacom, Inc., an enterprise software company and serves as the President and CEO. Career In 1988, Deakins founded and served as President of The Sun and Earth Company, a manufacturer of all-natural cleaning products. Discouraged by the ERP options on the market, Deakins programmed his own enterprise software to meet his company's needs which lead to the formation of Deacom, Inc. Deakins sold The Sun and Earth Company and started Deacom, Inc. in 1995, developing, selling, implementing, and supporting As CEO, Deakins continues to grow the company and delivers one of the industry's largest functional foundations designed to limit how dependent manufacturing companies are on external systems and customizations. |
