Jason Sloan

Jason Sloan (born 1972 in Butler, Pennsylvania) is an American sound artist, net artist, electronic musician, composer and performer living in Baltimore, Maryland.
In 2002 Sloan co-founded Slo. Bor Media with sound artist & web designer Matt Borghi as an outlet for their individual releases and a platform for other artists with a similar aesthetic. Slo. Bor Media also focuses on a variety of media and forms of distribution. The label is also concerned with unique hand crafted packaging, design, new media, and conceptual art.
Sloan received his BFA from Edinboro University in 1996 and his MFA from Towson University in 1999. His visual performance, installations, net art and videos have been exhibited internationally including galleries in New York, Berlin, Copenhagen, Edinburgh, Kiev, Nagoya, Saint Petersburg, Toulouse and Vienna. His sound works have been released on various labels and can also be heard on numerous international radio programs.
Sloan is currently a professor in the Interaction Design and Art Department at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland.
