Janice Cook Roberts is an executive and director. Career Janice Roberts joined venture capital firm Mayfield Fund in 2000. Prior to Mayfield, she managed an early-stage investment portfolio as senior vice president of 3Com . She led 3Com's global marketing and business development operation and also ran many of the company's new business initiatives, being acting president of Palm Computing. Roberts worked as a communications executive and early-stage entrepreneur on Mayfield's investments in networking components and systems, mobile communications and consumer-oriented companies. As of 2009 she serves on the boards of notable organisations such as Quickoffice, PlayFirst and Ubicom. Roberts directed notable venture capital investments including Convedia (acquired by RadiSys), Mobile 365 (acquired by Sybase), Peribit Networks (acquired by Juniper Networks) and Aliph. Roberts was managing director and president of BICC Data Networks LTD when it was acquired by 3Com in 1992. Education Roberts graduated from the University of Birmingham with an honours degree in Commerce and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
