Jan P. Blanco is the fifth child of the Blanco Family of Artists of Angono, Rizal, Philippines. He started his creative journey at a tender age of 5. Seeking to create artworks that has fullness, giving life to his creations that mirror the realities of the world, through the brush of a Filipino painter. Art of Youth Born on February 3, 1972, he is son of artist Jose V. Blanco and teacher Loreto “Loring” Blanco. He grew up in a loving and creative family, that seeks to color canvases, equally as colorful as the world, and the lives that are within. When he was 5 years old, he started to create with oil pastels on panels, and through the years explored many mediums, and expressed in turn expressed with no limit to what he can reach. On the following year, he participated in the Acapulco, Mexico competition for sand sculpture, as the representative of the family and the Philippines. Family Exhibitions On 1978 marked a milestone for Jan. He had his very first exhibit, and here together with the entire family, held at the . Through the years to come, Jan has had exhibitions both in the Philippines and internationally.
