James Wallis (racing driver)

James Wallis (born 12 October 2005) is a British racing driver recognized for his rapid ascent in motorsport. He began his career in junior oval racing and has since progressed to compete in prestigious series such as the Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain (GB).
Outside of motor racing Wallis is an accomplished sportsman competing at a national level in under 17 hockey, as well at a high level in other sports including golf.

Wallis was born in Cheltenham, England.

Wallis's racing journey commenced in short oval racing, where he won a number of titles. He progressed to circuit racing in 2019 in Junior saloon cars and in 2021, he secured the title of Fiesta Junior Rookie Champion, highlighting his potential in the racing arena.
Advancement to GT Racing
In 2022, Wallis transitioned to GT racing, clinching the GT4 GT Cup Championship title. The following year, he achieved victories in the British GT Championship and the International GT Open in the GT3 category, further establishing his reputation as a formidable competitor.
Porsche Carrera Cup GB Junior Driver
In November 2023, at Porsche's "Night of Motorsport" awards, Wallis was announced as the Porsche Carrera Cup GB Junior driver for the 2024 and 2025 seasons. This prestigious award includes comprehensive driver development and support from Porsche Motorsport UK.
2024 Season
Competing with the JTR team in the Pro category, Wallis concluded the 2024 Porsche Carrera Cup GB season in 7th place, accumulating 44 points over 16 races. He achieved three podium finishes, demonstrating consistent performance throughout the entire season.
