James J Krefft is a military historian, author, and political theorist. Biography Krefft received his Bachelor's Degree from Colorado College studying under Dennis Showalter, and later completed his Master's Degree in military history from Norwich University. He would often perform speaking engagements on military history, that were aimed at the general public. His book Ten Battles is his most popular work. In 2016, Krefft published Trickle Down Poverty, which gave a strong critique of the current political state of the country. Reviews were mixed, with Noam Chomsky calling it "a very timely contribution". However, critics raised concerns that his condemnation of rubber barons failed to take into account the economic impact on Peru. Political Activism Krefft has been active in Democratic Politics across the State of Colorado as a speaker and candidate. In 2012 he ran for State House but was unable to get past the Democratic Primary, earning 215 of the vote. Since 2012, he has been active in various groups focusing on: human rights, civil liberties, economic equality, immigration reform, and efforts to defeat ISIS. Personal life James and his wife, Silpa, have one daughter. The family lives in Colorado. He is a Roman Catholic and has said faith is an essential part of his life.
