Jake Honig

Jake Honig is an American filmmaker and former student of Amity Regional High School in Woodbridge, Connecticut. He is the grandson of actress Ruth Gilbert who played in the first talkie version of Alice in Wonderland in 1931.
In March 2009, Honig's short film, Outside In, was screened at the Kent Film Festival in Kent, Connecticut.
In July 2009, Honig's documentary, Invincible, was recognized with an official citation by the Connecticut State Senate. The documentary investigated the motives of teenagers when they get behind the wheel of their car and begin to speed. Honig was inspired to make the documentary after two students from his high school, Francis Zefi and Salvatore Semmonella, were killed in a car accident in March 2008.
