Jack Saville (born 2 April 1991 in Frimley ) is an English footballer who currently plays for the English Premier League club Chelsea youth side. He is seen as one of the most exciting prospects of the modern game, his transfer fee from Reading with Thomas Lyskov still stands as the highest ever paid for a 14-year-old. He normally played as a centre back alongside Thomas Lyskov for his club team before Lyskov's move back to Reading F.C , although during 2005-06, he showed his versatility as a player. He has been likened to Chelsea and England captain John Terry , as he is imperious in the air and is incredibly brave. His bravery saw him knocked out 3 times in the 2006-07 season. Saville attended the notorious Collingwood College in Camberley , Surrey. Sources close to him believe that this helped him develop his resilient character. |
