The J. Sargeant Reynolds Community Police Department (JSRCPD) provides law enforcement and security services with jurisdiction over J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College located in Richmond, Virginia, United States. JSRCPD officers are sworn officers of the Commonwealth of Virginia and have full arrest powers as authorized by state statute and works closely and share jurisdiction with the Virginia State Police, Richmond Police Department, Henrico County Police Department, and the Goochland County Sheriff's Department. The college's safety office oversees various responsibilities in the area of occupational safety and health including emergency preparedness and response, fire prevention, accident and injury prevention, hazard communication, lab safety, chemical safety, incident investigation, bloodborne pathogens and material handling and storage. |
