Ixiamas Fortress

Ixiamas Fortress is an archeological site located in the Amazonian basin of Bolivia.

It is located in the municipality of Ixiamas, in the Tequeje river valley, a tributary of Beni River.
Description
The fortress is formed by a big wall longer than 900 feet.
According to Bolivian archeologist Freddy Arce Helguero, the fortress was built by the Andean people. It is possible that the Incas utilized the fortress during the Inca Empire as a tambo and commercial base with Amazonic people, probably Moxo people.
