Ivy plus

Ivy plus is an informal association of fifteen private institutions of higher education known for research and academic excellence which are located in USA and UK. Ivy plus includes all the original eight institutions of the Ivy League athletic conference (Classification NCAA Division I-AA).

All of the Ivy League plus institutions share some general characteristics: they consistently place within the top 15 in the U.S. News & World Report college and university rankings; they rank within the top one percent of the world's academic institutions in terms of financial endowment; they attract top-tier students and faculty. Ivy-Plus university financial endowments range from Brown's $2.3 billion, the 26th-largest endowment of any U.S. college or university, to Harvard's $29.2 billion, the largest financial endowment of any academic institution.

Objectives
Ivy Plus association objectives include:
-To facilitate joint sponsorship of events for which the individual clubs may lack the critical mass necessary to host; These events may be charitable functions, community service activities, cultural events, or social events.
-To provide any member club the opportunity to invite members of the other Ivy Plus clubs to events that it is hosting, in order to provide a supplementary audience for special events.
-To provide the opportunity for social or professional interaction for the members of the various Ivy Plus Alumni Clubs.
