Isaac Shunsuke Sato (born 1971) is a Japanese former Bureaucrat, an active Academic and an Anglican Bishop. He has been a Professor of political Science for University of Cambridge Academics Voluntary Service since 2013. Currently the Vice Principal of Central College of Business Management in Nepal. He is an Anglican Bishop since 2017, and the one of the leaders in the field of academia within the Anglican community. Early life and education Sato was born in Tokyo in 1971. He is a posterity of aristocracy of Japan . He is a Cambridge graduate . He studied Political Science, Law and Theology at universities in both Japan and the UK. His academic degrees are: MA, LLM, MPhil, PhD (Political Science) and Doctor of Divinity. Aggressive Anglican liberalism Sato was once recognized by the Anglican Church as one of the best academic-priests of his generation however he is soon considered as an aggressive Anglican liberal by the Church. He was dismissed from Episcopal Duties and appointed to an unimportant honorary post. Despite Archbishop’s advice to the contrary, he was actively involved in LGBT, human rights Campaign . His words and deeds bring on an internal discord to the Church. Furthermore he is suspected to be a Rational Unitarianism by the members of the Church. The Church asked him to dispel this suspicion however he refused to do so and withdrawn himself from the Anglican Communion. Personal Life Sato is married to Ryoko. Together, they have a child: Akira. He lost both his wife and his beloved son in 2002.
