Ironhide Game Studio is a video game studio based in Montevideo, Uruguay. It was founded on January 26, 2010 by Alvaro Azofra, Gonzalo Sande, and Pablo Realini, creators of the Kingdom Rush saga. First steps The first steps the studio made were taking the Clash of the Olympians project, an action defense game where you embody a Greek hero who has to defend your temple from hordes of mythological creatures. The game was released on August 27, 2010, after the studio’s second game Soccer Challenge - World Cup Edition about the Football World Cup of 2010, released on June, 26 of the same year. The beginning of the Kingdom Rush era Kingdom Rush was released on July 28, 2011. Belonging to the Tower Defense genre it marked a new path for it, first being available in flash version, where it was played over three hundred million times. It became a success in all web game portals. After the release and success on web portals, the team started to work on an iPad version. The game received numerous awards and marked a new era for mobile Tower Defense games. The game was adapted and released for the small screen on mid 2012. The second Kingdom Rush is released After a year and a half of production, Kingdom Rush Frontiers gets to the App Store on June 6, 2013. The first sequel had the same key aspects as the original one and was commercially successful. On September, 26, the game was released for Android. Awards Best Strategy Game 2013 - Armorgames Game of the Year 2013 - Armorgames Editor's Choice - AppStore Kingdom Rush Steam release In 2014 the first Kingdom Rush gets into the PC gaming world, this time with full HD graphics, all heroes unlocked and some extra content. This was the first experience on the PC field for the studio. Kingdom Rush’s prequel is released Kingdom Rush Origins, the third, is a prequel of the original title. Released on November 20, 2014 on both iOS and Android with only a 24-hour difference. The game keeps the same elements of the previous ones, this time with improved animations and polished mechanics. Iron Marines release After two and a half years a new game, Iron Marines, was released on September 14, 2017. This project was unique from the previous games, it belongs to a different genre (RTS) and is set in a different universe. The Space adventure was commercially successful on the App Store. Available for iOS, Android and Amazon devices, the studio keeps working on new updates and a possible PC version. Kingdom Rush Vengeance In the Summer of 2018, it was revealed that Ironhide Game Studio was working on the 4th game of the Kingdom Rush franchise. The name being Vengeance, the game would have a different setting. Instead of defending men against enemies such as orcs or the undead, the player would play as Vez'Nan, the antagonist of the first Kingdom Rush. The player is set to lead the army of the evil against the forces of the good. The third release on Steam is revealed. Together with the revelation of the 4th game of the franchise, Ironhide reveals a collaboration with LuckyDuck to port the phone game to PC. The date of release is the 18 October 2018. Kingdom Rush Vengeance released for Mobile. On November 22nd, after a month's delay, Ironhide released Kingdom Rush Vengeance for mobile. The PC version is cancelled.
