International Peace Institute

International Peace Institute (IPI) also International Peace Institute of Nigeria is a peace building organization founded by Nigerian diplomat and peace advocate, Chika Sylva-Olejeme, in 1994.

The Institute engages in independent projects usually based on international cooperation and children

The Institute's initiatives are the International Creed for Peace, the Peace Conservation System and the Universal Peace Protocol. The International Peace Institute operates by Informal Diplomacy in its work with Governments and Inter Governmental organisations.

Peace Education Project
the International Peace Institute is initiator of International Federation of Peace Educators (IFPE) an ICP(International Creed for Peace)Campaigner project established, January 2007, the project is aimed at establishing an a combined effort for Peace building.

London Meeting 2006

the Billionaires in solidarity, London meeting 2006 in solidarity of members of parliament, UNESCO and the Diplomatic Community in the United Kingdom
the London Meeting 2006 was to encourage children from around the world to make a culture of peace mural in London.The Institute encouraged the participation of world personalities including world rich people to become messengers of peace, help the children draw and sign the mural which shall be dedicated to Peace for all humanity.

Dance of the Mask

The Dance of the Mask is a showcase of Nigerian Masks, dances, paintings and masquerades produced by the International Peace Institute, in commemoration of 2004 Black History Month. The Dance of the Mask was presented at different London Boroughs the UK Government, and among the UK Diplomatic community

African European Festival for Peace
International Peace Institute and the City Government of Munich, National troupe of Nigeria and UNESCO organised the African European festival for peace in 2002

UNESCO official Actor

International Peace Institute is official actor of the UNESCO culture of peace project for International Decade for a Culture of Peace and Non-violence for the Children of the World (2001-2010)
