Courses
According to IIPM, it offers two courses at present. Successful completion of the major course results in an award of the diploma entitled "Consultant in Psychosomatic Therapies" (CPT). In 2006, IIPM also started the associated Seehealth Chapter system, targeted at both charitable and paid-for medical assistance. The basic idea behind the chapter system is for small (max.30) groups of interested participants to meet once a month and receive a presentation by a presenter trained by the IIPM, aimed at prevention of ill-health.
The IIPM contends that since stress lies behind most major human disorders, the simplest form of prevention may save large sums of cost in treating such disorders. The motto they present is "Let us treat the stress first, then medicate whatever remains".
The IIPM show DISTRESS as events which can, if undefended, lead to STRESS in the body and mind. They see STRESS as mechanical or chemical imbalances in the structure.
The IIPM have an additional motto: "Don't have unprotected distress!"
People who wish to become presenters in this system, may complete a course of training orgsnised by the IIPM, titled "Seehealth Presenter's Certificate"
