Inspired is a privately held American company founded in 2012. Inspired is a payments company focused on helping people give back and fund non-profit organizations, every single day, for free. Their mission is to democratize philanthropy by giving individuals the capability to support the charities they believe in without spending their personal funds or time. The limited beta launch of Inspired was released in 2017. Inspired membership includes notable celebrities like Adam DeVine, Alyssa Milano, Diane Kruger, Genesis Rodriquez, and Sugar Lyn Beard . Products Inspired Card The Inspired Card is a free debit card given out by the company to U.S. debit card holders. Members have the ability to link a pre-existing debit card they already own, and spark a five cent donation with every use of their Inspired Card. Donations are generated (not paid for) by members, and then distributed by Inspired to non-profit organizations. Inspired covers the cost of all donations, so members are not spending personal funds on donations, yet generating donations based on their actions (using the Inspired card). Donations are distributed on a "project" basis, meaning there are specific funding goals (such as 8 pianos for a high-poverty classroom in Los Angeles) for each "project". Members are given full transparency into the goals of each project, their personal contributions, the beneficiaries of the donations/supplies, and more through the Inspired App.
