Started as an association of to help IT students to support their innovative ideas, Inovia soon became a bootstraped small company with a few commercial contracts.
After advocating for modern development methods to the startup scene in Paris, like Limonetik or CHD, Inovia core team has been noticed by large corporations looking for web expertise. At this stage, Baptiste Manson and Eric Raffin were the sole workers at Inovia, with most of the contracts executed in their living room at the 225 rue de Crimée, Paris.
"Le 13" period - 2009 to 2013
End of 2008, Inovia moved from a garage startup to a small office shared with Limonetik, Novapost, MyLittleParis and a few others future successful French tech companies. Le "13 Rochechouart", named given to this shared office was the first of its kind in Paris, sharing resources, people, skills, and ideas.
A strategic contract has been established with the French Postal service La Poste, building a strong expertise in Big Data and adding the expert Pierre Cornic to the board. This reference attracted several clients, like Ubeeqo or Technomic notably from USA.
The values of the company are established 'Technical Excellence, Solidarity and Durability'. The staff reaches 20 members.
The 2 Silicons period - 2013 to 2014
After the demise of several large French tech companies from 2009 to 2012, Inovia recruited skilled engineers in larger numbers and support a steady development. The risk is taken to expand in USA, with Baptiste Manson opening an office in San Francisco in the Silicon Valley. In France, the office moved to the heart of the Silicon Sentier, founding the SteamHouse, a co-learning and working consortium on the basis of the experience of the "13 Rochechouart".
