Inkawar is a game created by Peruvian developer Luis Grimaldo in 2005 as an entry in that year's Imagine Cup in the Rendering Category. Inkawar was a finalist of its category. Description Inkawar is about the Incan and Pre-Incan Cultures of Peru. The game was officially presented during the launch of a series of Microsoft products in Lima, Peru, Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 and Microsoft BizTalk Server 2005. The game was developed in Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 using (initially using Microsoft Visual Basic 6), using a graphics platform called GX specially designed for the game by the developer. The advantage of this technology was that it implemented graphics and managed the time when graphics were displayed simultaneously. The language used for controlling the GX platform is called the GX programming language. This language was later used in Tueros-Grimaldo's other games such as Space Battle and Bustershoot!. After the contest, Imagine Cup 2005, the game was implemented with LAN multiplayer service. Demo In 2007, a demo version of the game was published to the internet on its official website. Called The Inka Empire, the demo campaign contains the maps Training in the forest, The Lake of Muquies, The Unsure Shore, and Ucjupacha: The World of Death.
