Indian Defence Forum

Defence Forum India is an English language v-bulletin powered online forum, abbreviated as DFI. DFI was launched in February 2009 by a team of Indian Defence enthusiasts. DFI mainly focuses on Indian and World defence news, and socio-political and religious issues affecting India and the World. At present, the site has over 12000 registered members. The site is ranked 8,379 in India.
History
Defence Forum of India was created by a team of Indian defence enthusiasts. It is an active forum to discuss Indian defence progress, cultural and political events as well as world defence issues and progress.
Indian Defence Discussions
The Indian Defence Section Includes the: Indian Air Force, Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Strategic Forces Command, which cover missiles and missile defence, cyber-security and network centric warfare, space and nuclear assets, and defence & strategic Issues which cover the indigenous defence industry, war gaming, and military scenarios. These Sections have more than 6000 'threads' where members have posted more than 170000 posts.
Indian Affairs Discussions
The Indian Affairs Section includes "Internal Security" which covers Issues affecting Indian internal security such as: militancy in Kashmir, the Maoist/Naxalite insurgency, and events causing ethnic/religious strife. The "Politics & Society" sub-section covers Indian domestic politics, legislative and legal issues, and any event having a beneficial/detrimental effect on society as a whole. The "Foreign Relations" sub-section covers India's allies and friendships over the world. The "Religion & Culture" sub-section covers India's culture, literary, religious and spiritual traditions and The "Economy & Infrastructure" sub-section covers India's economic and monetary policy, infrastructure and development.
Country Watch
Covers the countries which are important to the Indian Geographical region including China and Pakistan and also rising Afghanistan where India makes a concrete contribution in their defence.
World Defence
Dedicated to raising the progress of technological events in countries' armed forces including future developments in their defence equipment. Categorized into three sub-sections: Land Forces, Military Aviation, and Naval Warfare - known more simply as Land, Air and Sea .
In the Land Forces sub-section, the most watched thread of DFI is known as 'Main Battle Tanks and Armour Technology'. Discussions on the assault rifles used by various countries and their special operational forces is known as the 'Assault Rifle Thread':
'Military Aviation' covers most of the foreign country development of Next Gen Aircraft and future procurements. This includes the SU T50 Joint Venture between India and Russia.; the Korean KF X Program the Multinational F 35 and so on.
'Naval Warfare' includes countries' newer naval technology, naval strategy, tactics and doctrine. The discussion includes the Brazilian nuclear submarine. The American Zumwalt-class Destroyer also the future Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) and the countries' involvement and their operation in Piracy Missions
World Affairs
DFI Members from India and other countries discuss their Countries' Socio Political Economic and Military involvement. Categorized by: Americas, Europe and Russia, West Asia & Africa, Subcontinent & Central Asia, Indo Pacific & East Asia, and International Politics. These sections include the famous case of the Indian Diplomat Devyani's Arrest the Falkland Islands' issue. the Russian Annexation of Crimea. The Israel Palestine Disputes Iranian Nuclear Movement The Syrian Crisis. The DPRK's Provocations and so on
General Forums
Which includes Military Multimedia, a dedicated section for posting photos and video of Armed Forces. The Military History section which has Ancient Warfare from Past wars fought by countries around the world.The General Multimedia section to post members photos and artworks

Contribution in Social Welfare
1.DFI gave its June 2013 revenue to the Uttarakhand peoples who were affected from the sudden flood disaster 2013 North India floods DFI will offer June revenues for flood relief
2. Many Of the DFI Members also donated through The Prime Minister's National Relief Fund (PMNRF) through the inspiration of a Member Named Abingdonboy.
