Imperial knights service club

The Imperial Knights Service Club was founded at LeFlore Magnet High School in Mobile, Alabama by Coach William Carpenter. The service club is geared toward achieving a communal spirit through volunteering and servicing the local community. The service club consists of both male and female members, males known as "Dawgs," and females known as "Lovely Ladies." The shield of the service club is inclusive of a helmet which represents achievement; a crown representing authority; an acorn representing strength, unity, and solidarity' crossed swords representing guardianship; and the lamp representing wisdom, learning, and knowledge. Applicants can be considered for acceptance at the sophomore year. Though the service club is primarily known for its role in the community, annually donating thanksgiving baskets, hosting the winter formal, and secret santa, the Imperial Knights are also known for their step team. The Imperial Knights Service Club are noted awards winners of the 1998 Bishop State Community College $500 talent search and the 1998 University of South Alabama $1000 talent search competitions.
