Imperial Garden

Imperial Garden, West is a high end Chinese restaurant in Middleton, WI. It has been voted the Best of Madison: Best Chinese Restaurant for 28 straight years, It serves primarily American Chinese cuisine/ Chinese cuisine.

History
Imperial Garden was opened in 1981 by Henry and Fei Chen from Taiwan. They named the restaurant after the Imperial Gardens of Asia. The restaurant is now well know for it's own garden's decorations. The restaurant was taken over by Karen Meyer in 1996, when Henry retired.
Imperial Garden has been featured in a number of books, including recipe books and in the dedication of the teen novel, The Teashop Girls.
Patrons include industry tycoons, senators, Tibetan monks, and Chinese olympic athletes. They have also catered a number of weddings in the Madison area, including one in a campground. Being located near the University of Wisconsin-Madison, they also host a number of notable scientists and professors.
Imperial Garden is a founding member of Madison Originals.
Next door to the restaurant is the Garden Asian Market, providing specialty Asian foods to Middleton and Madison.
