Ilia Kherodinashvili

Ilia Kherodinashvili (; born 5 July 1934) is a founder of general theory of gas distribution, new technologies, author of the concept of changing the world and developing the Georgian gas economy, the first academic doctor in the field of gas in Georgia.
The historical date of the beginning of Gasification in Georgia is December 26, 1959, when Ilia Kherodinashvili, as the head of gasification of metallurgical furnaces of Rustavi Metallurgical Plant, lighted a blue flame in the oven of the eighth marten.
Gasification of Georgian settlements is carried out by Ilia Kherodinashvili's innovative technologies.
In 2007, Ilia Kherodinashvili, for the first time in the world, developed a fundamental general scientific theory of gas distribution systems, which was published as a monograph.
Ilia Kherodinashvili was the initiator of using the territory of Georgia as a corridor for the construction of main gas pipelines to supply natural gas to Turkey.
Biography
Education
In 1953 he graduated from the 32nd secondary school in Tbilisi with a gold medal. In 1958 he graduated from the Moscow Steel Institute qualified as a metallurgical engineer (specializing in metallurgical furnaces). In 1981 he graduated from the Georgian Institute of National Economy Management. In 1990 he graduated from the Moscow Academy of Foreign Trade, majoring in Foreign Economic Relations. He completed an internship in Germany.
Work Experience
In 1958-1967 he worked in the Rustavi Metallurgical Plant of Georgia - as a worker, thermal technician, master of gas management, head of the thermal engineering laboratory.
In 1967-1981 he worked in the main gasification division of Georgia, "Sakmtavargaz".
In 1981-1988 he worked as the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Gasification of Georgia, "Sakgasakhkom".
In 1985-1988 he was the manager of the gas trust, "Tbilgas".
In 1988-1993 he worked in the Ministry of Union Gas Industry, "Mrevtsgaz".
In 1994-1995 he worked as a State Adviser on Heavy Industry and Energy to the Cabinet of Ministers of Georgia.
In 1996-2000 he worked as the General Director of "Orgtexervice" Ltd.
In 1997-2001 he worked as the Deputy Director of the Design-Research and Scientific-Research Institute, "Hydroproject" in the field of thermal energy.
Since August 15, 1999 he has been working in the "Georgian National Energy and Water Regulatory Commission".
