Ian Lemke

Ian Lemke has written and designed for a number of different table-top role playing games, mostly in the modern horror genera. He has designed, written and run live-action roleplaying games for up to as many as 500 players and he is currently involved in the design of an MMORPG.

Ian officially began is career in game design with White Wolf Publishing, where he remained from 1993 until 1999. During that time he was developer for the Mind's Eye Theatre (Live Action Vampire) and then Changeling: The Dreaming RPG game lines. His credits also include contributions to a number of World of Darkness Books including: Wraith: The Oblivion, Vampire: The Dark Ages, and Vampire: The Masquerade, 2nd Ed. He also contributed to the Fading Suns RPG by Holistic Design and several Earthdawn supplements by FASA.

In 1994 he started his own side venture running live-action roleplaying games, which began with “Horror of Ravensworth Hall” a pulp-horror game run at Dragon*Con in Atlanta, GA. That grew into Chimera Interactive, LCC which produced two LARP settings, Shattered Isles and it's spin-off King's Gate. He was the lead designer for the Chimera Interactive live-action rules system and was Creative Director for Shattered Isles which for 10 years ran 6-10 events a year for 50-100 players.

Since July 2006 he has been employed in the content department of Icarus Studios in Cary, NC working on the upcoming MMORPG, Fallen Earth.

Lemke is also known for his radical politics, luxuriant beard, and love of ferrets.

He currently resides in Durham, NC.
