HydraRacker

The HydraRacker is a column based vertical piperacking machine, that handles drillpipe, drill collars and casing, and bottom hole assemblies between a fingerboard to well center and vice versa. The HydraRacker is a norwegian pipe racker originally made by Hydralift which was later acquired by National Oilwell Varco. The Hydrarackers are manufactured in Poland, tested and checked in Norway, and then shipped worldwide to customers.
A few different kinds of HydraRacker exist, usually defined by how many joints the tool can handle at once. Commonly used in offshore oil drilling applications, the HydraRacker IV handles up to 4 pipes in a stand at once. The Hydraracker 3 handles 3 joints, and is often called the X-Y Racker because of its motion when handling pipes and it's coordinates-based system.
