A human suit is a costume, disguise intended to disguise a non-human such as an alien as a human being. The idea occurs in science fiction. Religion The theory that Jesus was not actually human but was simulating human form by divine means is known as docetism. Science Fiction The idea that aliens might be on Earth, disguised as humans, is a common theme in science fiction, occurring in works such as Men in Black, Galaxy Quest, The Thing, Star Man, V, They Live, Third Rock from the Sun and Meet Dave. The mannerisms of the aliens are often portrayed as awkward, indicating that the aliens are not comfortable in their false skin. Other uses In Donnie Darko, a schizophrenic teen asks his imaginary friend why he always wears that stupid rabbit suit. The friend responds "Why do you always wear that stupid human suit?" |
