How to pack for camping

Packing for camping needs to be done well and efficiently, you MUST plan ahead. Know the camping environment, different terrain carries different challenges, such as camping on the sand versus land.You'll also want to be prepared for any possible hazards; everything from poison ivy to potentially dangerous wildlife. You must have all your materials and equipment before you leave for your campsite to be properly packed in your backpack for easy carrying while hiking to your destination.
Things You Must Have:
Tent,
sleeping bag,
backpack/day pack/fanny pack,
water jugs-this is for drinking/cooking/brushing teeth,
canteen/nalgene,
pocket knife,
trash bags,
first aid kit,
sunscreen and chap stick.
Here are some extra items you may want to bring to make you trip a little more comfortable:
hand sanitizer,
wash rag,
nail clippers,
contact lens solution,
toilet paper,
towel,
soap/wet wipes,
tooth brush and tooth paste.
Types of Clothes to Pack:
Pack according to usefulness or durability and according to what your favorite outfit to wear is. Layering your clothes, from tank tops to long-sleeved jackets, will allow you to add or remove layers easily depending on the temperature. And don't forget to bring extra socks, extra shoes, and waterproof rain gear. It will help you better adjust to the weather though out your camping trip. Also if there is a water source nearby do not forget a bathing suit.
Things to Pack for Food:
Spoons, forks, knives, juice bottles, straws & caps, milk cups and lids, plates, bowls & lids, storage containers, ice packs, cooler (with ice), snacks, food and drinks that travel well, plastic wrap and/or bags, basic cutlery & plates & bowls, storage containers, lunch bag (for carrying food while walking, hiking or touring)
