Hotel Vistabella is a five-star hotel in Roses, Spain. It was built in 1961 by the architect Pelayo Martínez. The hotel, which opened in 1963, is a family owned hotel and is now running in its third generation by the Veitl family. The hotel occupies a location right at the Sea on top of a small cliff in the bay of Roses, at the Costa Brava, in Catalonia, Spain. In 1979, the El Pirata beach-grill was added. In the early nineties, the hotel experienced reforms and changes that led to become the first five-star hotel in the northern Costa Brava (Catalonia, Spain) in the year 2000. One year later, its gastronomic services expand with the inauguration of the new gastronomic restaurant Els Brancs. Since 2002, the hotel offers three distinct restaurants. Two years later, the oasis, a solarium was inaugurated. During the following years renovations and expansion of luxurious suites and rooms were added to the hotel offer. By the end of the first decade of the XXI century, the hotel is under continuous renovation and expansion. The hotel is renovating and redecorating all the rooms and a new project of expansion, adding five new Penthouse suites started in the years 2010 and 2011. In 2012, the first three new penthouses suites of modern design were inaugurated and added to the hotel offer. Rooms The hotel has a total of 32 rooms divided into 8 different categories all of which are decorated differently and in two different styles (Mediterranean and Modern). The different room categories are: Standard room - Sea View, Special Room - Sea View, Garden View Room, Junior Suite, Mediterranean Junior Suite, Exclusive Junior Suite, Penthouse Suite and Royal Suite. Restaurants The Hotel Vistabella offers four different restaurants: The gastronomic restaurant Els Brancs with a creative and innovative cuisine. The restaurant Balcó de Mar offers a Mediterranean cuisine. Located on the second terrace of the hotel the main focus of its kitchen is seafood from the bay of Roses, which arrives daily from the fish markets. The restaurant La Tapa is an original Spanish restaurant offering tapas. The beach-grill El Pirata open from mid June until mid September is a unique place right by the sea offering salads, fish, meat and crustacean. It’s famous for its Champagne parties on Sundays.
