HoocLyne Entertainment (now defunct) was the name of an independent comic book production studio that released 52 comic books between 1993 and 2000. The headquarters were located in Streetsville, Ontario, Canada, a community within the city of Mississauga.
The CEO of the company, Kevin J. Johnston ran the company until it was closed on June 3 of 2000. The name HoocLyne came from a conversation that Johnston had with Valerie Pringle prior to his appearance on Canada AM in mid 1993. She said “hook, line and sinker” to a coworker while his makeup was being applied, and the rest is history.
