Homosocratic

The homosocratic method is simply the Socratic method with no Socrates. The learners have to figure things out on their own and between them selves, hence - homosocratic. Autosocratic or internal debate within ones self may be implied when using the term homosocratic but not necessarily.
At the most advanced levels of science and research there is said to be a homosocratic discourse between peers. The peer review system used for almost all scientific journals is somewhat homosocratic in nature.
Several Free Universities use the homosocratic method. With no funding for professors or instructors, they use the internet and Open Course Ware to educate each other via essays or online discussions.
The term homosocratic was coined from the conjunctive phrase homo-Socratic describing a type of pedagogy that doesn't use teachers or instructors and therefore should not be judged basses upon the number of professors or student teacher ratio. The legal discussions and challenges use the term homosocratic and homo-Socratic interchangeably.
This may not be a word by the strictest definition but is in use and necessary for ensuing legal debate about free and open education in the united states.
