Personal Air Conditioner - Can be made out of various materials, for various sizes, depending on the size of the area you are trying to cool. There are a few formats out there in which to consider. RADIATOR FAN A/C The first type of homemade air conditioners are Radiator Fan Air Conditioners. You simply take copper tubing and on the outside of the box or round fan, spiral it outwards or inwards so it looks similar to the pictures below. Take your clear hose and attach it to both end sides of the copper tubing. One of the clear hoses will return straight to the foam ice chest, the other will be attached to a water pump (aquarium pump). Add ICE water, turn on the pump and fan, and feel the cold air being produced. How does it work? The ice cold water is pumped into the clear plastic hose, that carries it to the copper tubing (used because it gets cold fast and stays cold). Then it circulates back down to the ice chest.
