Hip Hop Love

Hip Hop Love is a compilation album under the Body and Soul music collection series. Distributed by Time-Life through its music division, the album was released in two versions. The sold-in-store version was released June 5, 2007 and features seventeen urban contemporary hip hop hits released from the mid 1980s well into the 1990s. The Time-Life exclusive version was released May 1, 2007, and features 24 hits on a 2 CD set, including seven more songs not available on the sold-in-store version.
Despite the compilation name, Hip Hop Love mostly consists of uptempo R&B songs which feature the new jack swing and hip hop soul subgenres, even though rappers Method Man, Redman and MC Lyte are featured here.
