Helixo CMS

Helixo CMS - content management system
designed for publication and updating of website content of companies of various size. It's built basing on a modular system using the MVC architecture which facilitates its development in the future. Among standard modules are:
* static pages - a module enabling to create the structure of a website and update content on particular (static) webpages;
* news - enabling the publication of information about current events and new products;
* short news for companies interested in a microblog’s functionality;
* gallery - enables to present more photos which are displayed using JavaScript scripts or by means of Flash technology;
* products - enable the presentation of sold assortment including the possibility to present the specification of a product and attachment of a photo gallery;
* cars - a module designed for companies selling various kinds of vehicles; it enables to present an offer including a precise description of the car's equipment;
* contact - enables contact by means of a contact form.
The authors of Helixo CMS guarantee that each of the modules is tailored to the client’s needs. Moreover, at the client’s request completely new modules may be created.
The system has been created in PHP 5. It uses Zend Framework, Smarty and jQuery. The data is saved in a MySQL database.
Work on Helixo CMS has began in 2007 and it has been developed by the interactive agency Oxido. The CMS is distributed commercially (for a payment) and its purchase cost depends on the client's requirements. It is sold in a few standard versions: Small Business, Small Business Premium, Professional Offer and Corporate.
According to the authors, the greatest advantage of Helixo is its clear and easy-to-use control panel.<ref name="needs" />
