Heinz Baader or Karl-Heinz Baader (25 March 1916 in Munich - 18 February 1966 in Munich) was a German Hauptmann in the Luftwaffe during World War II. Heinz Baader was born at the 25.03.1916 in Munich and received the Knight's cross as a captain in the close reconnaissance Group 5, under major Hermann Schmidt, at the 26 April 1945 for its use in the space Cirava. Survived the war, Heinz Baader died at the 18 February 1966 in Munich Awards *Iron Cross (1939) 2nd and 1st Class *Wehrmacht Long Service Award 3rd Class *Flugzeugführerabzeichen *Eastern Front Medal *Front Flying Clasp of the Luftwaffe in Gold *Ehrenpokal der Luftwaffe on 25 January 1943 as Oberfeldwebel and Beobachter *German Cross in Gold on 16 April 1944 as Leutnant in the 2./Nahaufklärungs-Gruppe 5 *Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross on 26 April 1945 as Hauptmann in the Nahaufklärungs-Gruppe 5 |
