LeRoy Haynes Center is a non-profit organization helping children with special needs relating to emotional development, autism, , learning disabilities, abuse, neglect and abandonment. Located at the east end of Southern California’s Los Angeles County, LeRoy Haynes Center last year served over 400 children and teens, ages 7 to 18, from Los Angeles County through its listed life-changing programs: • LeRoy Boys’ Home - a residential treatment program for 72 boys referred by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services and the Los Angeles County Department of Probation. • Emancipation/Transitional Living - a program to prepare foster care youth to transition out of the foster care/group home system and to become contributing members of the community. • Substance Abuse Program. • The Haynes Education Center - a non-public school providing special education services for 125 male and female students residing both on-campus and in the community. • School for Autism Spectrum Disorders - newly renovated school facilities and recreation area solely dedicated to meeting the needs of autistic children. • Work Experience - a vocational training program for 60 high school juniors and seniors. • After School Programs - quality activities in a safe environment that support enrichment, recreation and interpersonal skills. • Mental Health Services - professional/client therapeutic partnerships.
