Harriet Walker (born 1985) is a British journalist and author of The New Girl. Career Walker was born in Glasgow and grew up in Sheffield. She read English at Trinity College, Cambridge. Walker began her career in journalism as a columnist at The Independent and is the fashion editor at The Times. Walker's first novel, The New Girl, was published by Ballantine Books in May 2020. Walker was a regular contributor to The Guardian, writing on fashion and culture.
