HALO Maritime Defense Systems (HMDS) is a company that designs and builds systems to protect shorelines from wave damage. Paul Jensen is the company's CEO; former Raytheon executive Eric Johnson is the COO, and Rear Admiral Jeffrey Hathaway is on its Board of Advisors. The company has its headquarters in Andover, MA. History Originally named Elemental Innovation, Inc., HMDS was founded in 2000 Elemental Innovation, Inc. changed its name to HALO Maritime Defense in 2008. Its designs protect strategic assets including ports, naval bases, and coastal oil and gas facilities. HALO Maritime Defense Systems are designed to counter a wide range of geopolitical threats, including piracy and suicide attacks on US vessels committed by terrorists. |
